Porto, September 21st, 2018
Summer is officially over, but the festival series is still ongoing for us. We’re so excited to attend Iminente this weekend, in Lisbon! This music and street art festival is already at its third edition in Portugal, having had one in London two years ago. Curated by Vhils, the Underdogs and Solid Dogma, it will be located in Lisbon’s Panorâmico de Monsanto – an old, abandoned restaurant. How cool is that?! For 3 whole days (from Sept. 21st to the 23rd) music and art lovers alike will be able to immerse themselves into a newly created universe, which represents the cultural vanguard of those who are expanding their art in new directions.
The park will be filled with artistic installations, all made by brilliant artists from different corners of Europe. Monsieur A., Swedish graffiti artist and entrepreneur, will delight you with his unique style and iconic characters. Moreover, names such as Maismenos and Wasted Rita – street artists from Porto – are also on the artistic line-up. VSP Crew is complimenting this string of cool artists, as well as the festival’s curator, Vhils.
With urban art and music always going hand in hand, the musical line-up maintains the philosophy of past years, putting together hip-hop and its multiple variations with the best of the new world music, having concerts and Djs sets between the two musical stages of the event.
With help from three well known Portuguese labels (Enchufada, Princípe and Versus), there will be performances by the Americans DJ Maseo from De La Soul and Havoc from Mobb Deep, the Syrian Omar Souleyman, the Peruvian duo Dengue Dengue Dengue and strong Portuguese names such as Valete, Conan Osíris, Dj Glue, Rastronaut ft. Akacorleone and many, many others.
Are you sold already?! No? Then watch the video from last year’s amazing edition.
We’re very excited to be attending the festival in an official capacity for the first time. You’ll find us on the ground floor of the Panorâmico, on your way to the Main Stage, every day of the festival. The Circus will bring you everything, from prints & originals, to tote bags, T-shirts, books and even postcards of European street artists and illustrators. Let’s not forget about the joy, lights and amazing conversation if you come to visit us!
Piece of advice from our past experience: don’t come (with a car)! See you soon festival lovers!
